Old Cars Reader Wheels: 1968 Ford Mustang GT Pro Street
Long live Pro Street! Brad Snell is rocking one potent pony. This ’68 Mustang makes us want to drop the hammer and hang on.
I’ll let Brad give the low own on this sweet muscle machine…
“It was restored about 26 years ago by a gentleman who lived in Shenandoah, VA. He had the car about 4 years then sold it to a good friend of mine who had the car for the next 21 years and took really good care of it. I bought the car from my friend a year and a half ago, and my son and I have been taking it to car shows & cruise-ins ever since.”
“The Fastback has a 351 Windsor stroked out to 372 c.i.d. with about 550 horsepower. It sports 12:1 Trick Flow heads, Edlebrock RPM Air Gap intake manifold with a Holley 650 Double Pumper on top. Th power is handled by a Top Loader 4-speed with a Ford 9” rear, 4:86 gears. Tree link rear coil over suspension.”
“When the Fastback was found it was sitting rotting away in a field so the decision was made to tub it and the “Old School” build began!”
