“I acquired this auto new in 1974. It was and continues to be my 1st new auto with 53,530 miles on the odometer. The Karmann-Ghia was built by Ghia and crafted by Karmann making use of a VW system body and operating gear. It has a rear-mounted 1600cc air-cooled motor. I ordered the motor vehicle with the optional aluminum wheels and later on included a much more robust entrance anti-roll bar and rear anti-roll bar in addition to a ceramic exhaust. The Karmann-Ghia was developed from 1955 via 1974. A twin to this car is on display in the Volkswagen Museum.”
