Holcomb’s Transport & Recovery Inc., 2281 Airport Road, in Hot Springs, is a first-generation business owned by David Holcomb.

“In 2004, I was given the opportunity to go to work for Lloyd’s Auto Sales, 1814 Albert Pike Road. In the nearly five years I worked for Lloyd Robertson, he was gracious enough to teach me how to run a business right. After a lot of deliberation, a little push from Lloyd, and a ton of support from a long list of friends and family, I decided it was time to go out on my own,” Holcomb said.

Holcomb’s offers 24/7 towing, jump starts, tire changes, fuel deliveries, help if you’re locked out of your vehicle and sells new and used tires.

In June 2008, “we started with one regular light-duty wrecker and one rollback tow truck. Now we are the priority provider for a long list of insurance companies including AAA operating six rollbacks, one light-duty wrecker, one medium-duty wrecker, one heavy-duty wrecker and two service trucks,” he said.

“Our business is unique because of our commitment to excellence every day. We make serving the customer our number one priority. We cater to several different types of customers such as tire changes, door unlocks, jump starts, light-duty tows, medium duty tows and heavy-duty tows. This gives us the ability to serve many different people, from the person who is upset that they locked their keys in their car at Walmart to the person that just got involved in an accident, to the person that is driving an eighteen-wheeler across the country and had a mechanical issue while in our wonderful city. We want everyone that interacts with us to know they are our No. 1 priority and we will do everything in our power to meet their needs. That is our commitment, our excellence.”

Holcomb’s has been the winner of The Sentinel-Record’s Readers’ Choice Award every year since 2016.

“Our business is involved in the local community in several ways. We sponsor several different sports teams and school activities such as Lake Hamilton football, Lake Hamilton band, Lake Hamilton choir and Lake Hamilton Optimist Park. We also participate in the annual Trunk or Treat event, events held at the Garland County Fairgrounds, Hot Springs Police, Arkansas State Police and Garland County Sheriff’s Christmas parties and several other charity events within our county.”
