Aims Community College automotive students win medals at national competition

Three Aims Group Higher education college students in an automotive system won medals during a countrywide competencies competitiveness June 22-23 in Atlanta.

Jamie Frey, Angela Munoz and Jessie Manuel are enrolled in Aims’ Automotive Collision Mend and Refinishing System. They competed in the SkillsUSA Nationwide Opposition, the biggest palms-on workforce improvement celebration for job and technical education students in the U.S., according to a news launch from the college or university.

Frey received a gold medal in the submit-secondary higher education harm appraisal competitiveness. This is Frey’s SkillsUSA title.

Munoz gained gold in the put up-secondary college facilithon: leadership in facility management demonstration. This celebration experienced the pupils do the job through situations based mostly on running facility-primarily based problems that revolve close to functions and dilemma-fixing.

Manuel attained a bronze medal in the secondary superior faculty collision injury appraisal class. Manuel is a concurrent enrollment student at Greeley Central High School.

Aims automotive program college students have gained 11 medals with seven national championships in the 10 yrs they’ve been competing in the SkillsUSA National competitors.

Aims Group Faculty automotive degree systems are nationally acknowledged and licensed in secondary and post-secondary educational units with the Nationwide Automotive Specialists and Training Foundation accreditation. The Aims Automotive and Know-how Center is on the Windsor campus.
